Luigi Giordano,
4 generations in Barbaresco

We benefit from the experience of our elders to the recent studies of new generations. We must thank those who came before us for their hard work and hear the call of duty to preserve the options for those who will come after us. Respect, trust and vision are the values that have always guided us and that, still today, allow multiple generations to coexist and collaborate.

It all began nearly 90 years ago, thanks to the courage of Giovanni e Luigi

In 1936, Giovanni Giordano, during a time of profound crisis in the viticultural world, planted his first vineyards thus founding the estate at great personal risk. Twenty years later, thanks to his son Luigi, the winery took a significant step forward.

In fact, in 1958, Luigi, son of Giovanni, made the brave choice to vinify the grapes from his own family’s vineyards for the first time. The trail he blazed carries on today, demonstrating a long-range vision rare for that challenging period in history.

And that carries on in us and our wines today *

Luigi’s daughter Laura and nephew Matto are now managing the estate, forging a future based on a dynamic and regenerative vision that allows them to best interpret every vintage and vineyard. They safeguard a precious natural heritage towards which they feel a profound responsibility.

Our goal: put a unique expression of the territory in every glass

Thanks to Laura and Matteo’s devotion

Luigi Giordano is a winery that reflects the essence of the family at its helm for over 90 years: a blend of consultation, passion, listening, discussion, and love for their land. Today Laura, Luigi’s daughter, works alongside her son Matteo to lead the winery that, across years and generations, has remained faithful to its origins. This is a tight-knit family that loves each other as much as their home.
